| Well against everyone’s advice, the girlfriend and I set out for WISR in the Z as that monster of a storm was rolling in. After crawling threw LA traffic at 9PM we then set out sights to the 14 with many calls to the Caltrans hotline ensuring they would allow sports cars over the pass. Sure enough there were no road restriction but then came the rain.... Now I talking almost whiteout conditions with 10'+ sprays of water coming over the center divider from the oncoming traffics car pool lane! Without the navigation system I think we would have passed out exits for sure... Arrived in Rosamond at 12:00AM to find the motels we had spoken to earlier we a dump... Then stumbled upon the Devonshire motel. With a few high end cars in the parking lot and $63 for the night we were in for the night. Rained pounded all night long, however by morning all the rain had stopped! Clear sky’s straight up and clouds all around. Well the photos explain the rest>>>
